Dear Veritas Families, Coaches and Colleagues,

“Victory With Honor” is the Slogan that the AIA communicates to all of its Member Schools! A wonderful and meaningful statement that the VPA Athletic Department will follow through sportsmanship, teamwork, effort and commitment to excellence!

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the new Athletic Director of Veritas Preparatory Academy. My name is Andrew Mayer and I am extremely excited and grateful for this amazing opportunity. For the last 50 years I have been involved in athletics as an athlete, parent, coach and athletic director. These opportunities and experiences have brought me great joy and memories.

As we all are aware, athletics can produce many ups and downs. If we work together, as a team we will create a great avenue for our student athletes.  This is done through consistent and accurate communication, great coaches, beautiful facilities and most important, skilled and motivated student athletes. As Athletic Director at VPA, My most important goal is to create a pathway to allow our coaching staff and athletes the opportunity for success on the playing fields and courts. Thankfully, I have met with the current coaching staff. We have an amazing group of coaches already in place.

I would like to Introduce Kayla Walsh, our incoming Assistant Athletic Director. Kayla is a Graduate of Grand Canyon University with a Degree in Sports Management. She is excited to begin her professional athletic career at VPA. Kayla is passionate, bright and has amazing communication and technology Skills. Her main focus will be keeping the Veritas Athletic Department Web-site current and updated, as well as communicate consistently with our MS and HS Leagues. She will also oversee and organize all athletic forms and documents and be in charge of making sure the Athletic Office is structured and organized.

I would also like to introduce to you our new Certified Athletic Trainer, Corian Dennis. She is also a Graduate of Grand Canyon University with a Degree in Athletic Training. Corian is an extremely passionate and motivated individual. Her focus will be to make sure our Student Athletes are safe, monitored and prepared for competition.

Attached to the bottom of this letter is necessary sports information regarding Fall middle school and high school sports, as well as what we will be expecting from our student athletes. Please contact me at amayer@veritasprepacademy.org or 602-390-0332 with any questions or concerns.

Best,

Andrew Mayer
