Have you ever driven to work or school or anywhere and when you put your car in park you realize that you have no recollection on how your commute played out. You just know that your car is intact and you are still breathing. It jolts you on the inside that you should probably pay more attention to what is happening around you.

That is exactly what happened in our game against Scottsdale Prep.

We went through the motions of the week and all of a sudden Scottsdale came out swinging and woke us up in the first half. We had to regroup and respond quickly.

The offense struggled in this game, when Nisa Maafu went out of the game after his first carry. QB Gage Lentz was able to do just enough with his legs and arm to keep us afloat and ahead. Harris Lytle stepped up big with some great receptions, including a TD. Will Jakubczyk found the endzone for the first time this season and it was a great time to have a score.

Defense continued to play out of their mind, a lot of pressure by Jackson Walters, Mark Vuletic, Will Tork and Eli Ravelo led to interceptions by Zach Jackson(2) Jason Nunez and Gage Lentz.
